the Festival

A nourishing day of yoga and relaxation to suit all levels of experience. The 2019 Bundaberg Yoga Festival will be a bliss-full day of yoga and is an opportunity to experience some of the Bundaberg region’s most experienced yoga teachers and their unique styles. Workshops, classes and presentations are suitable for all levels. Delicious healthy food and drinks will be available for purchase on the day.

More than a yoga practice, this one-day event also features local festival stalls, showcasing exceptional mix of health and wellness offerings from the local community.

Tickets for Unlimited Day Passes are on sale now. Admission is free to the festival markets at the venue.

Enjoy moving your body with Hatha Yoga poses, focusing on Loving YOU, with affirmations and relaxation.

Calming Yoga for Stress Relief

10.00am-10.45am | Leanne Toy

Did you know yoga is a powerful tool for building emotional resilience? This session offers a taste of how yoga can help reconnect and restore ourselves in a healing way that is practical, fun and feels good. Ideal for beginners and for yogis who want to deepen their experience of yoga asana. No need to feel like you “can’t do yoga’’ – options will be offered for every body. We finish with a blissful guided relaxation to refresh you for the rest of your day.

Yoga for Seniors

My first Yoga class was in the YWCA in Sydney around 1968 when Yoga was practiced in black leotards and footless tights. Over the next 30 years I attended various classes and added Qigong to my practice. At the age of 50 I decided a change of direction was needed and began my teacher training through the British School of Yoga in Brisbane. I have developed my own style of Hatha Yoga over the 20 years I have been teaching.

Yoga Basics

12.30pm – 1.15pm | Tina Dimes

Yoga is for “every-body”. Explore how mindful movement and the breath can reconnect you with the inner bliss that lies within. This session is suitable for beginners and beyond.

Yoga 4 Life

1.30pm – 2.15pm | Karen Whyte

Yoga4Life = A journey that enriches and embraces all bodies, all ages, all abilities, to listen and feel from the inside out.


2.30pm – 3.15pm

Core Strengthening Yoga Flow

3.15pm – 4.00pm | Katie Laurie

Be playful, curious, kind, internally inquisitive and non-judgemental. This session is about blending inspiration with perspiration.

Yoga Nidra

4.15pm – 5.00pm | Amy Maher

Yoga nidra, also known as yogic sleep, prompts the body to relax deeply while the mind remains inwardly alert.

Emma does yoga from the Heart…. YogHeart. Her classes include breath work, affirmations, emotional well being and of course Hatha yoga poses. Her classes have a holistic approach and relaxed feel.
